This species has two flat, nearly triangular leaves blue green leaves, two (or four) upright fused leaves and big yellow flowers. It is a winter grower so leaves form in late summer to early fall and persist through the spring. Then in late spring or early summer the leaves will die back and the plant will go dormant.
