This species combines the best of the leafy, stemmed species with the fat succulent species. The stem is fat and white with thick (but not too sharp) spines. Over time the stem will get taller and taller and will branch from the base and the stems themselves. The leaves are long, wavy and very thick. The leaves form in the spring and summer and the plant grows until fall. In
