I started piecing things together in my head and liked positioning a red warhawk style plane next to the words "The Killers"

My hope was to pair this image with my 2013 Primus print featuring the elephant and lion

This was commissioned for Gallery 1988's Bad Robot JJ Abrams themed show

Avett Brothers - Breathing Time Machine I started piecing things togetherI've always wanted to create an illustration around a Tolkien Ent (living tree). The image seems perfect for the Avett's music. After listening to the track 'Laundry Room', the idea evolved into an image of a spinning top infinitely turning atop a dead tree while a living tree looks on. The symbolism of time passing and life cycles are recurring themes in my work. I think this is a result of both watching my kids get older as well as my own mortality.
